Our Story

Pastor Nick and Evangelist Pamela Roberson, accompanied by their family, embarked on a journey of faith bolstered by the encouragement and support of Bishop Stewart Reese, Jr., Pastor of Bethesda Cathedral.
Calvary Christian Ministries Inc. was established in 2002 to be a voice to many about the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; to preach and teach the Gospel to transform the lives of those that are lost. 

In April of 2002, the first church service was held in a storefront in Powder Springs, not far from our current church building. During this time, we experienced the need and a vision for a new church building, and in April of 2004, we received a building permit to start working on the lot of 4485 Austell-Powder Springs Road. Our congregation was willing and committed to get the job done, so we started Saturday workdays where we would go and work on the property. Those days included tilling the property, throwing bales of hay, planting trees, and whatever we could find our hands to do!
In July of 2004, we received our building permit and, again, the Calvary congregation committed to do whatever we needed to get the job done. In August of that year, we moved into our new place of worship. On September 5th, 2004, we had our first service in our new building, where we reside today.

In 2012, we started our annual events and commUNITY outreaches, including the Unity for the CommUNITY Calvary 5K Run/Walk and tent revivals.
